1) BIGFOOT (Mamasaurs) -- locally known as "Hantu Jarang Gigi" or "Fangled Tooth Devil"

Well, the left footprint of the BIGFOOT (casted in gypsum by members of the Seekers team) had been sent to Singapore for DNA tests. The results were expected by mid-May 2006.

On 19 April 2006, a local newspaper reported that a young Bigfoot was caught by a team of Wildlife Rangers in Johor and brought to Kuala Lumpur.

However, the matter was denied the next day by the Johore Wildlife Department.

2) FIESTA MEDIA IDOLA ("FMI") - 2nd Edition in Kuantan

The popular FMI-2nd Edition (2006) was held from 14 April – 16 April 2006 with participation by 13 contingents from the media. More than 700 sportsmen including entertainment artistes took part in five sports events.

Read all about this exciting FMI -2nd Edition held in Kuantan in an upcoming webpage soon.

Ah, now I've got it right.

The annual International Rafting Expedition on the Pahang River (Sungai Pahang) was held on the 27th April - 1 May 2006. (not in March, my apologies).

This time the River Rafting Expedition started from the river jetty at Temerloh, with stops at four riverine kampungs, namely, Chenor and Serengkam in Maran, and Kampung Baru Salong and Ganchong in Pekan.

I will chronicle this exciting event in a webpage. So do visit this website often.

In the quarterfinals, Pahang thrashed Nibong Tebal FA (Penang) 6-0 in the first leg held on the 5th April, 2006 at Stadium Darul Makmur in Kuantan. The second leg (return match) held at Stadium Batu Kawan in Penang on the 19th April, 2006 ended in a 2 -2 draw.

So Pahang went to the semi-finals stage.

In the semi-finals first leg held on 29th April 2006, Pahang drew 0-0 against Naza Football Club of Negri Sembilan.

The return match to decide which team will be through for the final will be held at Stadium Darul Makmur, Kuantan on the 13 May 2006.

And in the other semi-final, also played on the 29 April 2006, Perlis lost 2 -3 to the Singapore Under 23 team in the first leg at Singapore. The second leg will be held on the 13 May 2006.

Well, the weather in April 2006 was generally fine with a few days of heavy rain in Pahang. It’s still the inter-monsoon period, it seems. But over-all the weather’s fine and sunny.

Ahh... the weather’s so unpredictable nowadays... what with global warming and human destruction of the environment...

Well, life's like that. But let's preserve the natural environment for our future generations.

So until next month, from me...

Terima kasih (thank you) and ... Selamat Datang (welcome)
