Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad
Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad or "BIMB" in short, is the first Islamic bank in Malaysia, commencing its operations in July 1983.Being the pioneer in Islamic banking in Malaysia, BIMB offers not only traditional but also innovative and sophisticated Shariah-based and Shariah-compliant Islamic banking and financing products and services including Islamic loan instruments and facilities. The more than 50 Islamic banking products and services available are designed and catered for all its customers irrespective of religion. As the pioneer in Malaysia's Islamic financing, it is slowly expanding its wings globally into other markets, and has managed to make its name known internationally. Here in Malaysia it has grown into more than 90 branches with more than 650 self-service terminals. With its recent strategic partnership with Lembaga Tabung Haji, one of its major shareholders, clients of Tabung Haji can now also do transactions on their Tabung Haji accounts at the Bank.
