Besides the lovely beach, the Cherating Village (Kampung Cherating Lama) is nearby, where you can find batik materials and clothes, and local handicrafts. You can also try the Malay traditional massage to get your body rejuvenated!
Anyway, there's a Cultural Complex where you can watch cultural activities, like Malay top spinning demonstrations and kite (wau) flying displays, and also where you can try hand-painting batik on cloths.
Club Mediterranee is just a few strides away from Cherating Village, and it has variety of activities there, if you opt to stay there.
But then, just lazing on the beach under the trees, is my way of spending time at Cherating!
I'm going to Cherating on 26 May with my friends. Besides the beach are there any other activities or places we can visit nearby? Thanks!

Cherating Beach by: yamin
Yes, Cherating Beach in Pahang is beautiful. That is why Club Med had their first location in Asia there, built about 20 or more years ago, I think...
I like that beach too, very long stretch, and the ambiance (as you mentioned) during the night time. I also bring my friends there once a while to enjoy the local food.
Thanks so much Ahmad Huzairi for sharing. I'm sure there are many others who share your preference for Cherating beach.
