My Favorite of All the Pahang Beaches

What's my own favorite? Well, it is really hard to say. Why?

Because at all the beaches I’ve been, each beach seems to have its own special "charisma" or unique pull, and its own rather peculiar fun spots.

But if I have to choose, then I will say maybe Sepat Beach is my current favorite. And the reason?

Well, having lived for more than half a century (Oh, did I hear you say "Wow?"), when I go to a beach nowadays I like to just laze and lie down, and swim in the sea only when I feel like it.

But mostly I’d be lying on a mat on the beach, under a shade, reading a book, magazine or newspaper, munching sandwiches and snacks, whatever, just passing my time.

Perhaps Sepat Beach is my favourite now mostly because it is secluded, comparatively unknown as yet, with not so many visitors, especially during weekdays.

So I can do my own thing.

I can choose the spot I want to park my car and then put out the mat and lie down, watching and listening to the waves, without a care in the world. Usually it’s under one of those tall casuarina trees along the beach.

And whenever I’m there, the breeze seems to be incessant, gently caressing and soothing my face.

And best of all when the trees sway, the feeling of peace and happiness seems to swathe over me. Ahh, just heavenly!

Perhaps the beach at Air Batang Chalet (ABC) in Tioman Island is your secret favourite of all. Well, I loved that beach when I was younger, where I’d go swimming and snorkelling all day long. And occasionally I’d laze under the trees blissfully reading a book I borrowed from the chalet I stayed.

Maybe you love the serenity of the beach at Rompin, where you can decide to go fishing for marlins and billfishes later on? Or the quaint beaches at nearby Pekan Nenas?

Teluk Chempedak and Cherating beaches are also pleasant, where many cultures meet, with fun onshore, and the sea relatively calm and great for water activities.

Ahh... perhaps it is Balok Beach with its islets just beyond the shore and its variety of water-sports fun and challenging, rough activities.
