Here's a restaurant in Kuantan, Pahang that I recently found, that has ikan patin masak tempoyak on the menu. The ikan patin (silver-catfish) is of the river variety.

It is located at one of the row of shophouses and across the road opposite to the Government's clinic at Bukit Sekilau.

I found the ikan patin slice served slightly bigger than usual, and the gravy very tasty, like what masak tempoyak dish should be.

For lunch, there are also many spread of Malay kampung dishes there. And they all look very inviting to me. I tried the daging rendang and it was nice too.

For vegetables, there are traditional sambal and ulam, like pucuk ubi, pucuk paku, rebung and others.

But I took my favorite vegetable ( bittergourd) cooked with prawns (the dish called " peria udang " in Malay), and it was very nice too.

Well, I found the restaurant prices reasonable and I won't hesitate to recommend it to you and my friends.
