There are six RHB Bank branches in Pahang Darul Makmur currently, and they are found mainly in the major towns of the state.
For information, the Bank started as a merger in 1997 between Kwong Yik Bank Berhad and DCB Bank Berhad. Then it was the third largest banking entity.
The RHB Banking Group as exists today was formed when it further expanded and merged with existing banks then, first with Sime Bank Berhad in 1999 and later in 2003 with Bank Utama Berhad.

The "RH" stands for "Rashid Hussain" then a prominent entepreneur and owner of Rashid Hussain Securities who led the takeovers and was the major bank shareholder.
